Quick update: we're back in the land of the Morning Calm. Change of command went great, we're getting housing fairly quickly. The family's happy. I'll post some picutres as soon as I can...off to in-process finance, yay!

Sir, just found your blog from t.f. boggs! Read through some of your previous posts and look forward to continuing.
Having worked for a large, well known moving company for 17 years (think Pilgrims) I can sympathize with what you wrote. Whenever I had occassion to coordinate a move for a Military member, or handle any subsequent needs, I always tried my best to make the processes as painless as possible. Not all movers are created equal, not that my company was "perfect" but I tried to do my part!
